Hello everyone,
Waxing and windy day!
The days go by, but today's weather was very windy with a cold north wind. Henry tried to open a few nets at dawn, but it only lasted long enough for him to realize it was wiser to go home for a coffee and keep an eye on the single net in front of the house. Given the strength of the wind, he took the opportunity to explore the island and do some birdwatching, adding to the list of species observed since the beginning of his stay: he spotted one Black Guillemot and one Red-breasted Merganser. Meanwhile, back at the house, Sébastien tried to take advantage of a lull in the weather and opened the four nets near the house again. At the end of the day, we had a good day's results, having caught most of a group of Bohemian Waxing who were too greedy to eat the apples and juniper berries. We also caught another Twite in the evening. The weather tomorrow looks favorable for some great shots!
