Hello everyone,
We are delighted to announce the capture of the third Tengmalm's Owl since our arrival on the island. A wonderful surprise for our last week here, as this is a rare species for Seb and me to ring in France, and it's always a great pleasure to ring this species and contribute, however modestly, to a better understanding of autumn migration patterns.
On the birdwatching front, Seb found a second Railwater Owl at the northern tip of the island, and the windless morning allowed us to hear the calls of the Eiders displaying in front of the harbor from the house.
Our hero of the day was undoubtedly Hans Erik, who came to resupply us with a magnificent "touch and go" of food for the end of our stay.
