Foggy day

The atmosphere was special this early morning, with the heavy fog at opening time. Unfortunately, this fog has probably arrived too early in the night, maybe even stayed all night long, and the birds were not as much on the move as we were hoping for. It was quite chilly and wet, making also the nets visible, but you could feel that there was not much activity in the bushes anyway. The fog stayed through all morning, and the wind picked up in the afternoon. So we ended up with 25 birds ringed during the day, which is not so bad related to these weather conditions.  In the morning, the red breated mergansers, on the other hand, were really active for some reasons and passed abovehead many times just a shadows through the fog being spotted mainly thanks to their distinctive calls.
 
Birds ringed today: Gransanger 4, løvsanger 6, rødstrupe 4, munk 5, brunnsisik 1, rødstjert 1, bjørkfink 1, stillits 1 and måltrost 2. Total: 25
