Two sparrowhawks were ringed toady, an adult and a first year male. Both with nearly the same iris colour, but why it is yellow we don't know.

Another three twites were ringed, and this is still an exciting and special bird for us.

The post-nuptial migration continues during a starry night, but the strong wind persisted throughout the morning and forced us to only partially open the nets of the station during the day. We again observe groups of finches (redpoll, siskin, northern chaffinch, etc.) and thrushes (blackbird, thrushes, etc.). Ringing total 26 (gjerdesmett 5, rødstrupe 7, svarttrost 1, grâtrost 1, munk 2, fuglekonge 4, bergirisk 3, brunsisik 1 and sparrowhawk 2). The highlight of the day is the capture of 2 sparrowhawks, an adult male and a first-year male, one of which was caught before our eyes in the net in front of the station."
