 We opened the nets at 5'15 for the last time before leaving. The day greeted us with a beautiful sunrise. The weather was nice at the beginning and there were quite a few birds in the nets, but rainclouds soon started to arrive and we had to run to get the birds and close all the nets at 7'15. Afterwards we only let the net in front of the house open 'till our departure at 9'30 so that we could keep it in check and get the birds as soon as they got caught so they wouldn't get wet. All in all we ended up ringing 23 birds amongst which was the 2nd Løvsanger of the season. We also got another Vanille-fraise Tornirisk at the end (though a bit less colourful than yerterday's one), as if they had let us watch them carefully avoid the nets until the very last days to then forget all about it and finally get caught again. We're about to leave the island now, it was two amazing weeks, even though all the birds arrived at the very end of our stay, we still got to see and ring some really nice species and made good memories here.
