Nets opening 4:30-18:30 Sunny day, NE wind during the morning. Total ringed birds=38 Dagens ringmerking: tårnfalk 1, nattravn 1, flaggspett 2, rødstrupe 5, svarttrost 1, møller 2, hagesanger 1, munk 5, gransanger 1, løvsanger 5, fuglekonge 7, trekryper 3, tornskate 1, grønnfink 2 og grønnsisik 1. - 15 retraps The favorable weather conditions continue for bird migration: robins, goldcrests, willow warblers were present this worning. We caught again a great diversity (53 captures in total,16 species), and we were lucky to ring nightjar, kestrel, red-backed shrike, siskin... The raptor observations were also interesting: we spotted a young peregrine falcon, a sparrowhawk and a goshhaw (eating probably a blackbird, near the nets). Like yesterday, the afternoon was very quiet, so we found new things to do: Yannig tried swimming with the jellyfish, and Julie began a wood sculpture... We will see the results of all that tomorrow!
