New arrival for us, let's hope the birds follow

Hello Everyone! Here are some frenchies again! Violaine (a wannabee french ringer who is close to this aim) and I  just arrived by the end of the afternoon on the small island. We will be there for almost 2 weeks with high hopes and expectations. Meanwhile, the weather was really nice and welcoming when we arrive and it was good to see a couple of familiar faces.

The beginning of the day had been quite windy and Vidar has not been able to open all the nets. There weren't much activity on the island this afternoon and there has been only one chiffchaff ringed through the day.

Violaine is discovering Store faerder and we both hope that she will be seeing a couple of new species. We did have a few eider that were much closer than when we see them in Brittany and a black guillemot from a fair distance, but we will certainly do better and keep you up to date in the next days!
We can also note an observation of 6 goosanders that was made tonight just after dinner.
