Nets opening: 5:00-16:00. Today, we ringed 53 birds: - Standard nets = 48 birds: flaggspett 1, rødstrupe 1, gulsanger 1, sivsanger 1, møller 4, hagesanger 8, munk 9, løvsanger 18, fuglekonge 1, gråfluesnapper 2 og gråsisik 2. - Extras nets = 5 birds: nattergal 1, møller 4. - 16 retraps. The day started with thunderbolts and lightnings... but after the rain, the birds landed on the island, and we caught a large number of birds with a nice diversity: 69 caughts, with 12 species in total. The majority were willow warblers (young birds and some adults), blackcaps and garden warblers. As a bonus, we ringed a young woodpecker and probably the first goldcrest of the season, not the last! The rest of the day, we set up some new nets for the next days, when the wind will decrease. Then we explored the south side of the island, the lanscape is very nice with a great diversity of habitats. We spotted 2 winchats and 1 common whitethroat. Kenavo ar vechal ! Julie & Yannig
