Nets were open at 6am this morning, but the wind was still from the North, cold and a bit strong. It even increased until 10 but most nets were protected and we managed to keep them open. In the early morning I heard a song trush flying over, but it didn't sound like there would be a lot of birds around.
There wasn't much activity on the island, only a small flock of redpolls and after a few rounds, we got two of these in the nets for Violaine's pleasure: first time she gets them in the hand. Later, she spotted also two red breasted mergansers on sea. Now the wind has completely drop as yesterday evening. Yesterday night, we could hear the eider singing from the terrace, which is always cool. Ringing of today: Gjerdesmette 2, brunnsisik 2, jernspurv 1, grønnsisik 2, fuglekong 1, rødstrupe 1. Total 9 Retraps: 5
